Happy new month! July is here and I hope we’re all doing well. This month, my intention is to be more gentle with myself and take time in silence to connect with my Higher Power. As we’ve been in quarantine, learning how to do my hair has become such a valuable skill. I am still not ready to venture into the salons, and that means I have to become my own hairdresser! I recently attempted to style my hair in feed-in flat twists. It was both fun and challenging at the same time 😊
Fava Herb’s Organic Aloe Vera Gel – Available here.
1 pack of Darling’s Abuja Long Braids in No. 1 – Available at Carre Four, Naivas, and Tuskys supermarkets.
I decided to bring some color back into my makeup looks. I am sure by now you know that I am the ‘Neutral Glam Queen’! However, once in a while I do love to play with rich dark hues especially during the cold season.
The cold season is now in full swing. Wearing thick cozy socks and having several cups of tea are part of my daily routine. My beauty routine tends to stay the same, however, I noticed over the years that I tend to reach out for particular products during the Wintertime.
It’s been a heavy few weeks for us all. There’s a lot of pain, anger, and hurt from and for victims of injustices in Kenya and globally as well. I am taking the time to educate myself on these issues and learn how I can contribute to a better and just world.
