I am starting the new month feeling creative and hopeful. I can feel the year’s heaviness finally lifting. Today’s makeup look was sparked by Stephanie Ng’ang’a‘s #ScarfChallengeKE, which invited content creators and makeup artists to put together a creative makeup look inspired by their fav scarves. It’s been a while since I played with colourful shadows and I was feeling super nervous about how this makeup look would turn out. Let’s just say the final result totally put my worries at bay 😊
I am so excited to be creating a beauty post for you! Today we’re talking about blushers. As a lover of makeup and former makeup artist, I have noticed that darker skin tones aren’t well catered to by makeup brands. A lack of inclusivity in production means that we lack options and have to ‘make-do’ with products that are a terrible fit for our skin tones and undertones.
I decided to bring some color back into my makeup looks. I am sure by now you know that I am the ‘Neutral Glam Queen’! However, once in a while I do love to play with rich dark hues especially during the cold season.
